and significantly increased business intelligence through more effective

provided a series of services for the design and development of
a multi-site 100gb customer billing system. Initial efforts were
in the areas of relational database modeling, design and development,
application design including Graphical User Interface (GUI) development,
general system architecture, and data replication. Subsequent assistance
was provided with respect to system security, process re-engineering,
the establishment of standards, and the creation of enterprise object
and data models, as well as conducting a variety of training sessions.
The result of this effort was the successful deployment of a new
user interface for the customer care billing system. With this system,
customer service representatives for the first time were able to
address inquiries utilizing a replica of the customers' bill.

Working
with senior systems management, Smyth Consulting, Inc. initially
provided an analysis and recommendation of the database technology
marketplace. With network management personnel, we led the assessment,
design, and development of a new system for managing network call
traffic. This system marked the first time that all engineers would
utilize a consistent interface and receive pre-filtered and correlated
data with which to assess the quality and health of the network.
